About Us

Hi, we are Simon and Sarah. Over the years we have travelled widely, living for a number of years in Japan, and during that time we came accross many amazing people and wonderful products, and always thought it would be a good idea to use some of our contacts and import some of these products into the UK. We have started this in a small way with Salome Steen Jewellery, (Salome Steen was a Great Grand Mother whose name always impressed me), utilising a particular link with a workshop in India. The jewellery produced in this workshop is distinctive, fun and fashionable, made from a wide variety of quality materials to a high standard of finish. Initially selling at local car boot sales, the feedback has been so positive that we have been prompted to create this online shop so that more people may discover this unique and beautiful jewellery. If recent experience is anything to go by, once you've sampled some of our wares we are sure you'll be back for more.

The Jewellery

As already mentioned, our jewellery is made from a variety of materials including glass, painted ceramic, bone, horn, resin, wood, agate and turquoise. Each has been hand worked to produce a variety of colours and surprising effects that reflect the passion and vibrancy of this fascinating sub continent.
